Established in 2013, Mindfulness First is a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching foundational, everyday mindfulness skills in an accessible, culturally responsive way to help support lifelong healthy wellbeing for youth and adults alike. We have over a decade of school-based, community and online programming with demonstrated meaningful and sustained impact. Mindfulness Instructor

This Mindfulness Instructor will serve as the primary educator and program implementer for Mindfulness First's innovative Seeding Schools Initiative! This full-time role will provide direct K-12 mindfulness instruction across multiple school sites, teacher professional development programming, and online adult training facilitation.  

A key focus of this role is building authentic relationships and understanding the unique needs of various school communities to offer suitable programming that meets each setting's specific context. The instructor will also support the launch and facilitation of Communities of Practice that connect educators across schools, creating sustainable networks for ongoing support and implementation beyond our direct instruction, ensuring lasting impact and program sustainability.

Mindfulness Instructor

W-2 Employee (Exempt)

Full-Time (up to 30-40 hours per week)

Greater Phoenix-Metro area

This role requires up to 3-4 days of in-person mindfulness instruction at various school sites. When not scheduled to be on campus, this role will work remotely. Mindfulness First operates without a physical office, so you’re welcome to work where you’d like. 

August 18, 2025 - July 31, 2026 (1 year contract with possibility of renewal based on need and performance)

The majority of the time spent in this role is teaching mindfulness at various school campuses to K-12 students and teachers. When not on campus delivering in-person programs, the time is spent facilitating online trainings and general role administration. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities that support our mindfulness programming across multiple contexts. Rather than handling all tasks simultaneously, the position involves rotating focus areas based on the time of year, current school partnerships, organizational needs, and the communities we are serving at any given time. $55,000/annually
