Ambassador Program Disclaimer
Purpose
Our Mindfulness First Ambassadors program exists to better enable us to fulfill our mission by increasing our grassroots network of passionate advocates for mindfulness to help in fundraising, marketing, and programming efforts. In the process, we also aim to strengthen the mindfulness practice of our ambassadors, creating a mutually beneficial relationship.
Expectations & Responsibilities
Our ambassadors will be expected to collectively share some of the following responsibilities:
• Contribute monthly to Mindfulness First, with a minimum donation of $1/month
• Contribute to each of our three yearly grassroots fundraising campaigns, with a minimum donation of $5/campaign
• Check their email weekly to see any new actionable items such as sharing a social media campaign, reaching out to a friend, or filming a 30 second video
• Support our grassroots fundraising campaigns by reaching out to friends for either small gifts (as small as $5) or major gifts with the help of templates and training provided by the organization
• Support our marketing campaigns by being willing to share customizable posts with graphics and suggested captions provided by the organization
• Take time to cultivate a personal mindfulness practice with the help of our community
• Support Mindfulness First events through a variety of options such as attending events, inviting friends, hosting an event, or speaking at an event
Time Requirements
The minimum time requirement for our Mindfulness First Ambassadors is around two hours a month, which translates to about four minutes a day. Depending on the event or campaign, ambassadors may be encouraged to share more time during certain months, but we will never expect more than two hours a month.
Qualifications
Our ambassadors will collectively share some of the following qualifications:
• A passion for mindfulness
• A willingness to learn more about Mindfulness First’s approach to Mindfulness-Based Social-Emotional learning and use commensurate language and branding when representing the organization
• Willingness to check email weekly and interact with other ambassadors on Slack
• Willingness to reach out to friends & family to ask for donations, even as small as $5
• Willingness to use social media platform to elevate the voice of Mindfulness First

It will cover more in-depth information about the structure of Mindfulness First as a nonprofit organization, information about our programming, as well as more information about what it means to be a Mindfulness First Ambassador.

Guidelines
• Commissions will be paid once a month (1 month payment delay) Ex. commissions earned in September wouldn’t be paid until November 1st. Payments will only be sent for transactions that have been successfully completed. Transactions that result in chargebacks or refunds will not be paid out.
• Please keep in mind that we only allow affiliates who use ethical marketing practices (no spamming or offensive content).
• In order to earn commissions people must sign up by visiting our site through your affiliate link.
• We do not pay commissions on self-purchases, so please do not use your own affiliate link to purchase courses. All self-purchases will be voided.
• We do not pay commissions to anyone who has been awarded a scholarship.
• Approval or Rejection of the Application. We reserve the right to approve or reject ANY affiliate program application in our sole and absolute discretion. You have no legal recourse against us for the rejection of your Affiliate Program application.
Terminations
Your affiliate application and status in the program may be suspended or terminated for any of the following reasons:
• Inappropriate advertisements (false claims, misleading hyperlinks, etc.).
• Spamming (mass email, mass newsgroup posting, etc.)
• Advertising on sites containing or promoting illegal activities.
• Failure to disclose the affiliate relationship for any promotion that qualifies as an endorsement under Federal Trade Commission guidelines and regulations, or any applicable state laws.
• Offering rebates, coupons, or other form of promised kick-backs from your affiliate commission as an incentive.
• Self referrals, fraudulent transactions, suspected Affiliate fraud.
• In addition to the foregoing, Mindfulness First reserves the right to terminate any Affiliate account at any time, for any violations of this Agreement or no reason.
Liability
Mindfulness First will not be liable for indirect or accidental damages (loss of revenue, commissions) due to affiliate tracking failures, loss of database files, or any results of intents of harm to the Program and/or to our website.

Term of the Agreement
The term of this Agreement begins upon your acceptance in the Program and will end when your Affiliate account is terminated.
The terms and conditions of this agreement may be modified by us at any time. If any modification to the terms and conditions of this Agreement are unacceptable to you, your only choice is to terminate your Affiliate account. Your continuing participation in the Program will constitute your acceptance of any changes.

TEACHABLE AFFILIATE PAYMENTS
When will I get paid?
Because Mindfulness First uses a mixed payment gateway, the schedule for payouts may differ based on the student’s payment method. Payouts on the Monthly Payment Gateway, take place approximately 30 days after the end of the sales month.
Do I only get paid on first payment, if someone signs up for a payment plan?
In the case of a payment plan course, affiliates will receive a percentage of each payment, not just the first.
Can I make commissions off of every paid course?
Mindfulness First will sign you up for the courses allowed for commissions. Once signed up, you’ll be able to see all the courses as well as their affiliate links, in your dashboard. Please note that new courses start all the time and you may not be automatically added to the new courses as an affiliate. It is your responsibility to reach out to Mindfulness First if new courses are missing from your dashboard. Mindfulness First will do their best to keep you updated.
Is the Community Circle part of the Affiliate Program.
No.
I received a scholarship for my course, can I still earn a commission?
No, commissions are not payable to scholarship recipients.
Am I responsible for federal taxes from earnings?
You will be issued a 1099 if your earnings through the affiliate program exceed $600. Teachable will request a W-9 from you and that information will be used to send your 1099. This only applies if you are a U.S. person. If you are a foreign person, you will be required to submit Form W-8BEN or Form W-8BEN-E.
TEACHABLE AFFILIATE ACCOUNTS
How do I check my account?
1. To access your account, AKA your Affiliate Dashboard, login to the Mindfulness First Teachable website. (Hint: use the same login information as for when you were enrolled on Teachable).
2. Once logged in, click the link in your navigation bar labeled Admin. This will take you to your Affiliate Dashboard.
3. In the Dashboard, the following commission details are available: Commission Rate, Affiliate Code, Cookie Period and a breakdown of affiliate earnings and revenue.
Can I access the Affiliate FAQs section on Teachable?
Yes. Once logged into your Affiliate Dashboard, look for the Affiliate FAQ tab. This tab contains information on how the affiliate program works and answers to some general questions you may have.
How does Affiliate attribution work?
A cookie is created in a user’s browser whenever they land on the Mindfulness First Teachable account with your affiliate code attached to the URL. Any purchase the user makes on the Mindfulness First Teachable account during the cookie period will be attributed to you, and you will receive the set commission of the sales price.
Can I generate an Affiliate link for third-party sites?
You can generate affiliate links for third-party sites, but only if the external affiliate URL generator has been enabled by the school owner.
